Mail from Chris about setup

Hey guys!

Finally, after a long struggle with mail servers, ssl certificates,
tomcat installations, firewalls and other things you don't actually want
to fight with, I can now proudly present our new JIRA installation.

--------------------------
1. What has not changed?
 - Jira is still Jira (although any attachments have to be re-uploaded,
sorry, it's a manual process and I'm not going to re-upload your
photographs and so), although they are now running on another server.

--------------------------
2. What has been changed?
A lot :D

First of all, mail works! :D So you can now get mails as soon as
somebody changes something or whatever you setup in your settings.
Second of all, the integration works! :D Your users are now valid
between the different sites.

new goodies:

 a. http://confluence.mercurydpm.org
This is basically a glorified wiki. It might be useful to start
migrating the tutorials here (which should mostly be a copy-paste job) -
including any other documentation such as where to download the code,
common issues and so on. It has a quite nice menu structure as well, but
I can't be arsed to set it up tonight.

 b. http://confluence.mercurydpm.org/questions
This is awesome, really awesome. It's stackoverflow, but then
mercuryoverflow. It's somewhat a good mixture of twitter, a forum and a
wiki. You just type in your question, if it matches something, click it,
else you submit a new one. There are many tags which can be defined,
including featured tags.
I created a featured tag so far, called mercury; I automagically get an
email if somebody raises a question with a mercury tag in it.

 c. http://fisheye.mercurydpm.org/
After a lot of messing around with regexes, I finally managed
to import both Trunk, Beta and Alpha and make it understand that
branches are different and we also have releases. It still shows the
deleted content but fuck that.
Also added is that it now actually syncs with JIRA for every user, and
that it actually links to the JIRA project as well :D
